What is blood alcohol concentration (BAC)?

When you drink alcohol: Alcohol gets into your tummy. Then alcohol moves to your intestine

From your tummy and intestine: alcohol gets into our blood

Blood alcohol concentration means: How much alcohol is in your blood

BAC of 0.01% means 100 ml of your blood has 0.01 grams of alcohol

BAC of 0.08% means 100 ml of your blood has 0.08 grams of alcohol

Lower BAC means you might feel less drunk

Higher BAC means you might feel more drunk

BAC 0.01 to 0.03: You might feel relaxed and friendly

BAC 0.04 to 0.06: You might feel happy and excited. You are slow to notice things

BAC 0.07 to 0.10: Your balance is messed up. Your self-control is reduced. You are slow to notice things. You might not notice a person standing on your side. You might not notice traffic sign.
