What is a hangover?

Hangover means bad symptoms after drinking.

Hangovers are difficult to predict. On some days, you might drink a lot of alcohol and feel fine next day. On some days, you might have one drink and feel hangover next day.

Anxiety, bad mood, body pain, difficulty to focus, fast heartbeat, feeling thirsty, feeling tired, headache, increased blood pressure, light sensitivity, nausea, not wanting to do anything, red eyes, sound sensitivity, stomach pain, sweating, vomiting

Why hangovers happen?

Alcohol makes you pee: you get dehydrated and your electrolyte get messed up. You get headaches and feel tired.

Alcohol lowers your blood sugar: You feel tired, hungry, difficulty focusing.

Alcohol messes up your sleep cycle: You get poor quality sleep. Even if you sleep, you do not feel refreshed.
